3.3L Unique Features & Benefits

|
The Engine Control
Module regulates the HPDI System, to ensure superior power, fuel
economy and reliability. Here's how HPDI works. Six
sophisticated sensors help the microcomputer optimize ignition
timing and air/fuel mixture. Fuel is drawn through the fuel pump and
vapor separator, then pressurized by the twin high-speed fuel pumps
– to 1,000psi in our next-generation 3.3L HPDI. Proven and reliable
internal-opening fuel injectors distribute the fuel to each
individual cylinder enhancing fuel distribution for increased power
and greater fuel economy.
|
 |
A powerful, 3.3-Liter, 204
Cubic-Inch Engine. The 76° V-block design is compact, with added
torque for greater acceleration. |
 |
Special Heat Treated Crankshaft and Connecting Rods
enhance durability for long term engine life. |
 |
New, Special Ion-Plated Top
Piston Ring enhances durability and delivers up to 20% more oil
economy. The oil bypass groove on the bottom piston ring delivers
the precise amount of oil to the top ring for even greater
reliability. |
 |
Fuel is Routed through a
water/fuel separator, a vapor separator tank, twin high-speed fuel
pumps and fuel rails, then delivered through 6 independent internal
opening fuel injectors.
|
 |
Water Inlets
have been front-mounted and lowered on the V MAX®
200, 225, 250, and 300hp models for increased cooling, efficiency,
and optimal set up. |
 |
Water Cooled Intake Crankcase
This unique feature increases intake air density for added
horsepower on the Z300 and VZ300. |
 |
Twin High Speed
Fuel Pumps pressurize fuel at 1,000psi
for outstanding performance and fuel economy on 3.3 Liter HPDI
models. |
 |
The unique, Concave-Shaped
Skeg Design on the MAX® 3.3L models dramatically reduces
steering torque, enabling the lower unit to track straight during
acceleration, top-end and deceleration. This new lower unit was
engineered to maximize performance on today's bass boat hull
designs.
|
 |
Strong, Forged
Pistons add durability. Aluminum alloys
are compressed in molds under extreme pressure, resulting in a much
stronger piston. |
 |
The High Output
Alternator, standard on HPDI 3.3-liter
models delivers an incredible 37 amps of charging power at 1,000 rpm
and a full 50 amps at speed. You’ll have plenty of b a t t e ry
power, even after prolonged idling or using multiple electronics
while trolling at low rpm’s. |
